These things are a blast to ride!! and no the engine over the front wheel does not make them handle weird, they actually ride fairley well and when they run right it will go 30 Mph!! its a Two-cycle engine, use chainsaw oil in the gas,50/1.

From the looks of the pic your gonna need to find the exaust system it looks like a small bent pipe that runs down the front fork to a round canister muffler at the bottom,a front tire, and the engine is too simple to rebuild.we did it in the garage with simple hand tools and a hand drill and hone to clean up the cylinders and reused all the oraiganl parts...these things are really durable...They took the punishment that two teenagers put them thru in stride!! Oh,they sound really cool without the mufflers,we took them off so as to increase the accerlation, ran just the straight pipe!! if this thing is too daunting a task for you I Want It!!

I visited Christchurch, New Zealand in 1976 and solex's were everywhere - a very popular form of transport.
