I found this in the trash in the "Northern Libertys" area of Philly, says,"12 Speed Touring" on the tp tube, any Info is appreciated :)

Dropouts that are not forged, steel cottered crank, cheap-looking bottom bracket all scream budget bicycle. This belongs back in the dumpster IMHO.

In the mid to late 80s in the SF Bay area, Firenze bikes were given away with purchase of a stereo at consumer electronics store in Daly City. I was wrenching at the time, so we saw a few of those come in for repair. Truly awful stuff, made cheaply in Taiwan, destined for short lives and then the landfill. I can't say that's what you have, but it's a possibility.

They were also given away in Madison WI by a TV/furniture place called American of Madison. IIRC that stopped when he was sued by a person/persons who were severely injured when the steer tube of the frame came apsrt. I believe it cost the owner millions of dollars. They are probably the worst bikes I have ever seen. Roger
