Thrift stores near LAX?

I am travelling to LAX area every 2-3 weeks for 1 week stays. I want to find a place to look for a vintage and/or beater bike that I can keep here and ride/fix up when I come out. Does anyone know of a good source near LAX, El Segundo and Marina Del Ray? I will probably be doing this schedule for the next 6 months to a year. If I don't find something I can just ship my fixie out, but I would like to take advantage of an excuse to buy another bike...

I live in the South Bay around 8 miles from LAX.

I have a few mid-range 70's>80's bikes:
Schwinn Superior, Miyata 710, Raleigh Competition GS, Peugeot PR-10, yada yada. What size are you looking for?

Craigslist is a good bet in that area as well.

You might check with local Bike shops to see if they will let you store
a bike there. I know one guy who did that here in DFW area, the shop
let him store the bike and retrieve it when needed.
Might also think about used/consignments from LBS while you're at it.
