Suntour Cyclone components

I recently acquired an old bike, it's a "Bonnelli Macadam" (?), and it has a total outfit of Suntour cyclone components...where do these fit into the great hierarchy of parts?

The only problem is that the damn rear derailleur has no spring anymore... : (

early cyclone was top of the line until Superbe gruppo was introduced.
Depending on generation it could be top or 2nd tier gruppo.

I have always really liked Cyclone front and rear derailleurs. In shift quality/accuracy, I would put them up against anything else out there.

Cover the name of early Superbe and Cyclone and you would be hard pressed to see any difference. I love the early friction (raised letter) Cyclone stuff.

cyclone is great, put I have to say the parallelogram spring is week on the ones I have used... Durability is sub part compared to record and dura-ace.

Here are the original derailleurs & shifters from my '81 Schwinn Super Sport; I hang on to them just in case I ever want to restore the bike to its original condition.

That's a really nice set Wil, and would fetch a nice price on ebay.;)
