70s / 80s frame

Hi guys, need your help in identifying a very comfortable steel frame. The only distinguishing feature is the word SABA on the BB housing and on the seat stays. Now I know saba used to (still?) make saddles, but did they make frames, and what spec.
Built up, the bike is lovely to ride, has all the braze ons, but is sadly painted green with Kona mountain bike stickers on.
I'd like to know if it has an italian thread BB or british. Thanks for your help in this matter!

Chilled.

Do you have photos? Is this a mountain bike, or just stickered to death?

It sounds most interesting! Pictures would probably go a long way in helping to identify it.
