divineAndbright 08-14-07 08:52 AM

Yep.....I am still trying to talk him out of a NOS Campy crank to finish it out

Very very nice. Gorgeous.

Only thing I'd do is find a silver quill. What size do you ride - I might have one to donate to the cause.

Classy...Don't ever leave the bike anywhere locked or unlocked. Just ride the ever loving snot out of it. Maybe padlock lock a fat chain in your house when you get home. Man that is beautiful bike.

I do appreciate that Rad. I for some reason like the black with the Panto. Looking at the pics though I am thinking you may be right. I am not sure what size yet. I have only ridden here around the block so far :)

awesome bike, take care of her.

garysol1 08-16-07 02:10 PM

Just got back from a 50 mile ride on her and all I can say is WOW. Makes me seriously wonder why I have a CF bike in my garage that cost ...ummm...well let's just say lots of money. The average speed on my loop is the same as it is on my CF bike. My sprint is not quite as snappy on the old bike but that is about it. The ride quality the tubies at 120psi was plush and very comfortable. I am hooked.............

soderbiker 08-16-07 02:13 PM

nice .

badfishgood 08-16-07 02:30 PM

The fork... Those hubs...

thelazywon 08-16-07 02:32 PM

wow, I hope to build a bike as nice as that one day..

C. Collodi 08-16-07 02:39 PM

Amazing looking bike!

Lamplight 08-16-07 02:55 PM

Wow that was quick! :D It looks amazing, and it certainly appears that you got the bike you really wanted. Congratulations!

garysol1 08-16-07 06:39 PM

Thanks guys.....Lamplight....It is everything I wanted but twice as nice as I expected!!!!

Or perhaps UNHOOKED, as in a tubular convert.. Once you go tubular you never go back. Nice looking ride. Personally I would have gone for low flange hubs... are those cobalto brakes? If yes I guess they are missing some pieces.

Not sure....The "acorn" nut is flat on the end. I would have thought the Cobalto would have had a dish for the stone to sit in. Anyone know?

Louis 08-17-07 07:58 AM

Beautiful. I can't stop looking at it.

cyclotoine 08-17-07 09:32 AM

Yeah those are super record calipers... what kind of levers are you using? The hoods look like they fit a little large.

McDave 08-17-07 11:07 AM

Geeze... the guy hasn't even had the bike a week. Do we really need to nitpick it to pieces? Let him enjoy his new ride already! :D

No, let the picking begin. It's how I will learn :)

cudak888 08-17-07 07:38 PM

I'm no expert on the SR group, but it looks like SR calipers to me.

Cobalto would have used the same acorn nut as Triomphe, with the recessed center for the blue gemstone. This ain't it.
