Arbos pics
 

Someone emailed me for pictures of the Arbos I got on ebay recently. Here are a few. Mid-50s I'd guess:

did you check the dates on the locknuts ?
and the rear dropouts might have clues..

what size seatpost does it take ??

Is that campy seatpost? Do you think it was added later? The shifters are they out of place or where the early record later recycled into Valentino/GS?

The seatpost is Campagnolo STEEL (first one). Shifters, if you mean because they have screws instead of 'D' rings, early ones were that way. I suspect the rear derailler was upgraded, as Record is later than the rest. Otherwise, seems pretty original. I haven't really messed with it yet. Did get a headbadge and decals from a guy in Italy.

i have a feeling the mafacs are a later upgrade as well

Hmm, not sure.. I've had a couple other similar bikes that seemed to have Mafacs as original. It is unusual, but not unlikely.

i'm not sure but i think mafac parts from the earlier period would have the M.A.F.A.C. markings..
also the bolt on seatstay cable stop doesn't seem right..

but i'm not clear on dating their stuff
