How much for Torpado Beta outfitted w/ '06 Campy Veloce

I've got an early 80's Torpado Beta (Columbus Aelle) that was in excellent condition when I bought it last year. I upgraded the parts to '06 Campy Veloce 10 spd but never ride it anymore and would like to sell it.

Is $600 asking too much?

Well, as a point of reference, I recently purchased a late 80s SLX Merckx that had been upgraded with a mixture of 9 spd. Record and Chorus, and Velocity Aeroheads. It was well worn but well cared for, and I was quite happy to pay $770.

Another point of reference - It cost me close to $1000 to build my Columbus SL Palo Alto out with a Campy 10sp Veloce/Centaur mix.

If it's in presentable condition, I'd start it at $750 on CL with good pics and description and see what happens.

Thanks all. I was hoping to make back what I spent on the parts and $700 - $800 should cover that.

Hi econobot,

I plan to sell my Torpado Beta now. (see my post dated today for bike info). I was wondering what did you end for getting for this bike? Thanks
