Peugeot Triathlon?

https://lincoln.craigslist.org/bik/571916762.html

I shot the guy an email and he told me to offer what I thought was reasonable since he'd had no other offers and wasn't quite sure what to respond with. Also I assume by Shimano 500 components he meant 600. What do you guys think is reasonable for this thing? I'm going to go check it out in person on Friday. Also can anyone verify that it is a Triathlon and if so around an '87 or '88? Thanks for any and all help.

My Triathlon is an 87 and doesn't quite look like that. Hard to read what it says on the TT. Also, check that frame tubing sticker, it will play a large factor in what can be considered a fair price.

That bike is way overpriced. It looks a lot like a Bordeaux I bought for some parts. Nothing wrong with it, but more like a $100 bike than a $600 bike.

There is a very nice 1986 Triathlon on my local craigslist for sale. Seller is asking $225 for it. Check out the Orange County, Calif. C/L. I know the seller. As far as model determination the Triathlon name is on the top tube and it should have three sets of water bottle bosses. Also check the serial no. on bottom bracket.

The tubing sticker almost looks like the Super Vitus stickers in those small pictures which is why I thought it was maybe a Triathlon. I guess I'll just have to go see for myself. Thanks guys.

Bummer I was hoping I had found a Vitus Pug that I could bargain for. I don't even think I bother wasting the gas.
