Funny little story...

OK this has nothing to do with C&V bikes although I did have a C&V bike with me at the time and the story is almost old enough to be C&V. Anyway, I thought it was funny. Not sure why I thought of it again today...

So back around 1990 or so I walked into the LBS to talk to Glenn the owner about some work on my bike. There was a guy there ahead of me talking to Glenn - a very clean-cut guy in bike shorts and jersey accompanied by his young son who looked to be around 5 years old tops. When he finished with Glenn he turned to leave then stopped and said to the little boy, "Tell Mr. Glenn what you said daddy is". And this little boy steps up and in a firm, confident voice says, "My daddy is a biker!". To which the guy replied smiling, "No, no, daddy doesn't have tatoos and a bandana, daddy is a cyclist". I just had to smile.

PS: No offense to those of you who DO have tatoos and bandanas as I'm sure there are a few

On one trail I ride, there are signs that read: "Bikers must dismount and walk their bikes across" Since I am not a biker, I don't.
