ive seen this mentioned a bunch of times but ive never been able to find an accurate and detailed description. ...does anyone know how this works exactly? and if i was to build or commission a custom frame how hard would it be to do this?

internal wiring is not so uncommon but herse made some assembly that used brushes or something in the steerer to maintain contact through the headset bearing

i think most builders would just make the jump from fork to downtube with a length of wire (like on some jack taiylors)
