1971 Schwinn Paramount Value?
Hey folks-
i have an opportunity to pick up a 1971 schwinn paramount with mix of suntour/campy record components. The frame is lugged reynolds 531 and and is is what appears to be good / fair condition. Any ideas on value?
here are some pics.

It appears to be in decent shape, but the down tube decal isn't correct and the seat tube "olympic circles" decal is missing. It has Prugnat lugs, and my '71 has Nervex Professional lugs, so you may want to check the serial number to make sure it's a '71. With the triple, the brazed on cable stops for the rear brake cable, and fender eyelets, it's a P15-9. The rear fork ends should be chrome plated, not painted.
My guesstimate is somewhere in the $500 - $700 range if it's really in the shape it appears to be.
Here's my '71 P13-9 with the correct decals:

Don't feel neglected if hardly anyone else responds. There are only a few other members who can add to Scooper's knowledge of Paramounts.

While not being the expert that scooper is, I will concur with what he says. All of my Paramounts have been in the $700 range, but they were complete and original.
The Super Champion rims with Phil hubs look nice. Presently I have an identical set on my P-15, substituting for the original Campy/Weinmann wheelset.

If the price is in the ball park that has been mentioned by the above C&Vers, it would be worth it in my mind. While not complete, it has great potential.
