Funny, I like the wheel stickers..... I think the stickers on the wheels makes the white lettering and stripes on the frame jump out in a good way.

This evening we had a tornado warning, which gave me an hour in the basement to the little things. Dialed in FD and learned about the "trim" feature on the front shifter, replaced a frayed cable, and--I think--fixed the rattle on the right shifter nameplate by tightening a small screw and adding a touch of shoe-goo. I'm very sad it's not going on vacation next week with me.

I've seen people use a small piece of felt on top of the nameplate to stop the rattle...

my '71 Cinelli Speciale Corsa retro project - lovely but tired old frame which had been given a mid-life update with braze-ons etc so no longer original. Decided to make it a project to combine the best of old with best of new - new paint and chrome and a mix of old and new parts with strict silver/chrome/black approach - still deciding if the gumwall tires work or not so not glued on yet. 7.9kg ready to roll.

Wow @dadoflam ! You have superior taste. Beautiful frame, cool stem, nicely matched bidon cage, and wheels that I would've never expected to work visually on such a build really do. I think the gumwalls work and balance the overall look from not being totally shades of grey.

Agreed.

Spot on with the tires. Go ride it, it looks very, very nice.

@ Dadoflam. What stem is that?

May I suggest gluing the tubulars on pre-ride.

I don't think my boss appreciates it if I look at pr0n like this for too long on the company dime.

Insanely beautiful and tasteful build. Would love to take a whirl on that one and nice choice of parts. What stem/bar is that, may I ask?

Its a 3TTT Pro Ti stem with a Deda 215 shallow bend bar - both polished to remove graphics

I'm never going to become desensitized to amazing bikes when you guys keep 1 upping each other like this. How is it even possible for bikes to be this damn nice...

Here's my entry for classic frame with modern components and as opposed to the nice, classic, understated look of Cinelli above, I went for blaring, lively (typically Italian) color scheme. 7.8 kg as pictured (hopefully visible now).

I finally built up a frameset that I found on ebay in Janurary. It's a 1988 Schwinn Premis, has a mix of Shimano 10-speed parts, plus a Suntour Downtube shifter for the shifting up front. The saddle, stem, and seatpost will be swapped out fairly soon for things that match a bit better.

This is the most 80s paint I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of Centurions. AWESOME.
