80's Fuji Espree - Good Deal?

I was looking for a winter project now that the weather is turning cold in Ohio. I responded to a craigslist ad for "two touring bikes". I found matching 19" and 21" inch quad butted Fuji Espree bikes in decent condition that appear to be from the mid 80's. Suntour downtube shifters, ARX derailuers, Sugino GP cranks, and Dia Compe brakes. Both need new tape, seats, and tires/tubes but I still think it was a good deal for $50 each.

The brake hoods on both are in bad shape, can someone suggest a place to get new ones.

Rode an Espree in college in the mid 1980s. I beat the crap out of that bike and it just came back for more. Well made and a great ride.
