Dawes SuperGalaxy good news / bad news

I finally started stripping down the Dawes Super Galaxy to get it set up riding eventually. I'm hoping it fits as well on the road as it does sitting in my basement. I'll be putting new gum hoods and shellaced black cloth tape on the handlebars. I have a 11-28 megagrange shimano freewheel that is sweet and I'm tempted to put on friction/index shimano downtube shifters. The bike is a 3 x 6 tourer with sweet 1st gen Suntour cyclone dérailleurs.

Good news - the components , rims, etc are in better condition than the frame paint. The dérailleurs are in great shape. The chain has no stretch. The front 27" rim - Weinman is in great shape and is high flange. The rear wheel is Araya rim w/Shimano 6 cog freewheel so I guess some work was done.

Bad news - the crank bolt is some odd size. My crank extractor won't thread the TA (made in France) cranks. Can anyone point me to a proper crank extractor - or loan me one?

TA use a different size, but there are plenty of pullers out there, you'll find one on this page:

https://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/french.html

But I have a double ended one that does standard size too which was cheaper - worth a hunt. Be careful though, it might APPEAR to be the right size for Stronlight too, but it's not, it's a tiny bit too small, and can strip Stronglight threads. I was luck and got away with it.

Thanks, I was putting together an order from them anyway. At $25 the extractor is $5 more expensive than the bike [sans saddle/post but with a set of extra gumwalls]
