Seeking info... Can you help me?

I'm searching for information on a Bugatti Touring Sport bicycle that I recently accquired. Someone has told me that they believe this was produce in 1968, but was not positive. They said it was quite unique, and believed that it was built in Italy, but again.... not positive. If anyone can give me some sure answers, I would deeply appreciate it. This shows the Bugatti name badge and Bugatti logo within a flag type border on the rims. It has Shimano parts for the shifting of gears. Any help would be deeply appreciated! it looks very well sorted... would be a perfect commuter/cruising bike, but the parts look fairly low-end but I may be mistaken.

....now I know what color I want to paint my dream bike, the real bugatti blue

The stamped dropouts, lack of quick release hubs, and lack of a derailleur hanger would indicate it's an entry level bike. Weighing the bike would help determine whether the tube set used for the frame is straight gauge carbon steel (heavy) or something more exotic like butted 4130 chromium-molybdenum (lighter) or a proprietary steel alloy from one of the tubing manufacturers like Reynolds or Columbus (even lighter).

Thanks!!!

Scooper... Thanks for the response! I tried to e-mail more pics to you, but lost it in transfer somehow... sorry again for the ignorance of computer knowledge. Is the bike from Italy? Was it a promo bike for Bugatti (The sports car manufacturer)? Someone told me that Porche made some promos years back, and Jeep has in the recent past.

The serial number on this bike is - CB7C (THEN- LOOKS LIKE A BACKWARD C?) then 5197

CB7C )5197 similar to this except 5th character looks like a backward C

Hope this tells someone something more
