Now for the bike you've all been dreaming of!! Jk! One of my fun projects I did last winter. You can probably imagine how thrilled my wife is when she comes home and finds things like this happening in the living room of our apartment

I looked at the pictures before looking at your location, and I thought to myself, "How Floridian." Well, it does look like a fun and useful bike.

Wait til it's "her" house, not an apt.
Nice clean-up, bet the ride is more fun now.

Thanks!
Yes, well I can't wait until I finish engineering school and get a job so that I can buy a house that has a garage and or shop, which should take care of the issue of the living room doubling as a workshop.
Also yes, the bike did ride much nicer, unfortunately I sold it. Another curse of apartment living is that out of respect for my wife and the safety of my 9 month old son I can only keep a few bikes inside at a time. The only way I can continue my bike restoration hobby is to sell one bike for every one I purchase, I get sad with every sale.

Nice job, Steve. - Just the right amount of red too, with those H2O cages echoing the cable housings. The W. concaves are a big bonus too - you're all set to go for those extra long rides!

Just in case they don't, you can get red powder-coated ones for cheap here.

I was looking all over for red ones online. All I found where anodized red or plastic with advertising all over them. I will probably order a couple sets of these for any future need. I seem to like red.

Thanks for the link.

1980 Schwinn Voyageur
This bike cost $35. The original wheel set had flat spots and bad cones. These wheels are donner wheels from a free Raleigh I picked from the trash. I fixed the bike up to sell condition but my wife really likes it so It will be upgraded with a new 700 Wheel set and maybe some 1990`s indexed shifting by spring. (I thought I cleaned that Superbe before I put it back on)

This is a Backroads Mistaya that was made for the Backroads company by Fuji. It is just a rebranded 1990 Fuji Saratoga.
As found, in June in pretty rough shape:

As of yesterday:

In looking at this, the only part that is original is the seatpost. After getting it pc'd, I swapped the 27", 7 speed wheels for a 700c 10 speed set up. The canti's were replaced by v-brakes. The drive train is a mish-mash of Shimano 600/Ultegra/Dura Ace.
