I am going to say the pair of Paramounts I purchased from the original owner. These were my first real finds and first really nice vintage bikes.

You guy and girls are prob going to hate me for posting a non "vintage" bike but thats what Im going to do Its my 1998 K2 ProFlex, My mom bought this bike for me as a gift just before she passed away she knew I wanted it badly so she got it for me. I remember my mom calling me over to the house and telling me that she wanted to buy me, as she put it, "that cool ass bike I wanted" Not only did I think it was a little slice of cycling history but I also thought it was the coolest thing Ive ever seen I loved it then and I love it even more now as every time I see it it reminds me of how cool my mom was I miss her Sooooooooo much

Working on it
I just saw my new repaint of Gwaihir yesterday and I am very pleased. I had it painted at Joe's Cycle Paint in Watsonville, CA. When the clearcoat dries it will be mine again and I will start taking pics, including "before, after" Shadowfax I gave to my best friend after my dad died and we cleaned out our house Somewhere I have my original Elven language interpretation of Shadowfax that I had painted on the side. It also had a rearing horse on the headtube.
How about your Shadowfax?

She's a rider, but a fair weather machine. Possibly won't get out again until spring.

In no particular order: 1984 or 85 Fuji Mt. Fuji bought in 95 or so, my first high end bike. 2005 Giant Cypress DL, birthday gift from employers, Unknown year Miami Sun Trike, just cause it is so dang handy for carrying stuff, and has great potential for customizing, KHS Montana Summit because it fits me just right, and is a cool looking bike. One of my Huffy single speed coaster brake Beach Cruisers, because it reminds me of the simpler times when I was young and care free.

I love all my bikes.
But my number one is my 1973 Puch Brigadier. It was my father's first real road bike. He put an unreal amount of mileage on that sucker.
Then, it became my first real road bike. I too have put lots of miles on it. It's in my basement now, and probably hasn't been ridden in 6 months. The old Puch lives an easier life now. He comes out a few times per summer, gets cleaned, tuned, lubed, and put back. That Puch still rides like an absolute dream.

Mine would be this Miyata 210. It's special because I made it my own. I changed the stem and handlebars out for something that fits me better, added fenders and a rack, and polished all the alloy parts.
It's also special because, like RobbieTunes' Centurion Ironman Carbon, it came to me in a trade from a BikeForums member. Pics:
EDIT: Sorry. I couldn't resist posting its pictures again. I just think its so pretty.

The one in back is my Supercourse. I pulled it out of the recycling bin at the dump and had to replace everything but the frame. If I find a frame with better chrome, I might replace that too. Its way more fun to ride than this mint LeTour that I paid a lot of money for. It's got a springiness to it, like it wants to go.
The Sport in the forground is just any old Sport, it was on the curb up the street from here last summer. Just my size. I looked up to heaven and asked if this was a joke. It's nothing out of the ordinary but the wheels I put on it are off an old club racer from the late twenties. Dunlop 26x1 1/4 rims fill the fenders just a little better than the stock wheels, R shaped wingnuts and little Rs on the spoke ends. Old flipflop rear hub. So these are my most cherished wheels. Someday I'll find a sweet bike to put on top of them. I kinda want an old fillet brazed Schwinn New World.

It's tough to say which one is my most cherished.......but the one with most sentimental value has to be my late '70s Paramount. It's been with me the longest and I did my 1st century, 1st double century, 1st multi day bike tour on it. It's gone through many changes in its life and it always seem to adapt perfectly to my needs. Now in it's present life is my townie and I absolutely love it!

Does it count as cherished if it's already gone?
Well, this is the bicycle that got me 'into' vintage machines.
A step through, not my size, and I travelled 120 miles on a train to pick it up 5 years ago.
I've had many since.
Lightweights, 3 speeds, small wheelers, vintage and newer.
Of all my bicycles since this Rudge, this is the one I will always remember.
And will always regret parting with.
Of my current machines this is the one I will never part with.
No matter how rich you are, you won't buy it.
It's not perfect, but it is truly cherished.
It is 1948 and I am 1946, so it has a certain affiliation with me for that reason alone.
Funny thing is, I recently came across another Holdsworth frame with the proper, correct period badge for mine, and bought it for that reason without even seeing it. (For £10)
When I went pick it up I discovered that I had another Holdsworth LQ on my hands
Now I got a dilemma....
I don't think I should trash the latest one just for the correct badge on my favourite.
So I'll probably end up with two La Queldas to cherish....
How nice is that?

Right now my most cherished bike is the one I just finished building. Well, I wouldnt say finished but it's about 90% done.

I value the friends and sense of community more than the bikes, as much as I like my old bikes!
Every one of my bikes is special for one reason or another, a lot of them are trades with fellow forumites who I now consider friends. My Trek 520, '70 Raleigh Super Course, two of my Grand Prix's, my Falcon, the Galaxy, the Bottecchia, are all from my Fellow C&Vers!
Too many great people have helped me over the last couple of years even to list.
My '80 Super Course was a local trade, it's probably the one bike I will never part with.
My '81 Grand Prix came from Sykerocker, it has some forum history. It got to wear my Brooks Imperial.
My '83 Trek 520 came from Jim E. (jgedwa) Disguised as a pile of rust, Jim saved it from certain destruction, and I brought it back.
Neal's old '70-'71 Super Course.
