Ok.....who got it?

Would the new owner of this Paramount track bike please step forward....

I was soooo gonna bid on this sucker, thinking it would go for a good bit more, I didn't bid.....I would've gone $999.99, though.....;)

Ok, fess up....who got it? :D

Nice bike. The repainted yellow one that's up right now is more my size though, not that I would be able to afford it.

retyred 12-16-07 08:02 PM

Well it wasn't me. Did that listing say 62cm? Nobody disputed it. I know you haven't ridden a 62cm since you were ten years old!

AEO 12-16-07 08:21 PM

Wow that is a tall bike... Looks nice though.

beakgeek 12-16-07 08:33 PM

Some sort of giant bought that bike.

cyclotoine 12-16-07 10:09 PM

Man it is my size. and what a good price. Very long wheelbase, but what a beaut.

jet sanchEz 12-16-07 10:20 PM

I thought this one would end at a much higher price than $770, however, it may be re-listed since it didn't hit reserve. I guess this isn't the best time to sell vintage track bikes, these are some low prices we are seeing.

luker 12-16-07 10:23 PM

That couldn't have been a 62. That was way up there in the air. I didn't bid, it would have made two bikes for me!

Rear wheel is pulled back a good bit and with no tires looks longer than it is. The "flip flop" rear hub and the careful camera shooting around in addition to no mention of, indicates the hubs are not Campagnolo, as Campagnolo Pista hubs are worth a good bit by themselves, that might have had a bearing on the price.

Well, we may never know what the actual high bid was. The seller stated his reserve was $1800. But often people don't even read the description details closely, so the highest bid offered may have been $1799, and if the second highest bid were only $760, you'd never see a higher incremental bid - unless the reserve were met.

Looks like a 63. Remember, track frames have higher BB's...

I'm guessing someone who also has an interest in flying...could it be Scooper?

I just need to know that my highest bid wouldn't have been enough....:)

....or else I might as well start kicking myself now.....

You could always sit inside the main triangle, then you have a roll bar built in.

Wonder what he (she?) is gonna do with those 165mm cranks...

sykerocker 12-18-07 01:52 PM

Heck, I figured East Hill would buy it, for when she grows up.

:roflmao:

I'm still working my way up the ladder--I need to find the 19" Paramount first. The cranks would work for me, though :p .
