cable housing color

What do you all think would be a good color housing to run with a pearlescent orange frame? Black I think would make it look too much like halloween. I have grey Schwinn housing but thats kind of boring.

redneckwes: I like the white. Does anyone have a shot of a orange bike with the indigo blue?

Thanks!

It does not look quite as nice when you get up close, but given what it looked like when I started, I think she cleaned up pretty well.
That old Bottecchia definately has seen some road. I think I must have repainted nearly half that frame.

Except possibly against a pearlescent orange frame!

I vote for GREY!

Would give it bit more of a retro look IMHO.

Not really indigo, but would look nice with a bike like beakgeek's:

I like clear. Just the clear casing over the spiral wrapped metal core. It's simple, with the subtle pattern of the spiral coordinates with all, clashes with none and you can see the inner workings.

It can't get any better.

I agree with Stacey--clear.

And if not that, then white.

MMMMMMM Clear huh? Sounds like it would be real sanitary looking and not clutter up the bike with too many colors. I want this frame to scream out. I've been wondering about fenders too. I really like the plantet bike chrome looking ones I have on the Continental but wonder if they would take away from this bike

Lime green!!!! You've already got a great start on the citrus theme. Add some yellow tires to complete the trifecta.

You tell me.

I've never been a fan of fenders from the aesthetic stand point. Sorry, can't help you.

The best idea yet! Now just add some amber reflectors to the wheels! I vote "NO" on the fenders. SB, this needs to be a fair weather bike only.

PB I think you are correct. I looked on the Velo orange site at their clear cable and see that the brake and DR cables are from different manufacturers and won't look exactly the same. Just when you think you have an answer then there is something to make you go MMMMM whats that gonna look like.

Another option that goes in the direction of the clear / gray options but with a little more bling:

Braided SILVER: https://www.velo-orange.com/stbrcaho.html

I used this stuff on my Serotta and get TONS of compliments!
