I should have mentioned, there's also something funny about the forks. They appear aligned, but they are wider than 110mm, and when the front axle is completely seated in the dropouts, and the QR is engaged, the wheel sits decidedly skewed to one side. It's adjustable, of course, by moving the axle down a bit on one side, but I don't know who advisable that is. I do it on another bike I have though, with no ill effects thus far.

I have a beat up 1975 Schwinn Continental, 23" or so, that needs a lot of work and a good home. No one will want me to ship this beast, but if you're local you're welcome to it. Next weekend it gets donated to the co-op, but I just thought I'd throw this up here first in case anyone was interested...

Ive got a few pairs of the old style look delta pedals if you'd like a set lemme know, ive got a super clunky first gen pair in black, and a more sleek 247 (i think they were called) pair in dark blue, you'd have to take care of shipping but they are yours for free otherwise.

i dont know if i can do this, but does anyone have friction stem shifters they wouldnt mind donating to my 1974 gazelle? i stripped it down and converted it to fixed, and now i have found all the parts, but the shifters

What kind do you need? There's a bunch of old Suntour stem shifters in the parts bins at the co-op I frequent, I could probably snag you a set for next to nothing. I just changed my Univega Nuovo Sport from downtube to stem shifters yesterday.

Attention frame-mongers!! I've got a 22" 89 Trek 660 TrueTemper frame and fork that could be a project for someone who wants to put the torch to it. I picked it up just for the wheelset and have stripped everything but the damned fixed cup on the bb which I simply could not bust loose. This frame was in a front-end collision at some point in it's life and has a buckle in the downtube that is about .25" wide and deep across the underside of the tube located about an inch behind the head lug. The top tube has got some reflected damage to the paint but the tube looks just fine to my inexperienced eye. It's free for the price of shipping; the fork looks ok to me.
Also a set of look pedals--red and white that are pretty shabby looking but would work nicely for someone's beater bike cause they still spin 'like buttah'. Shipping's on you.

OK, here's a little 27" wheel "kit-of-parts" for someone who is willing to take it on, and pay the shipping:
I have two 27" size Rigida 1320 clincher rims (alloy, no eyelets), both in very good shape. Right now they are two front wheels, laced, galvanized spokes, 36H. One has a Normandy high-flange hub, and the other has an older Sunshine low-flange hub.
You can either have them as-is, or I can un-lace one of them and provide the matching rear hub for either type. No skewers in any case, and the Normandy rear has a solid rear axle. You'll need spokes for the rear wheel build too, at the least.
Why such a weird combination? I had the Sunshine pair originally, rear got tacoed, so I found a matching rim as a front wheel. I've realized that this is the only pair of 27" rims I have, and I've got a surfeit of wheels taking up space. If nobody takes them in a week, I'll CL them locally.
