Dang It!!!!!!

Ouch! I hope that didn't result in an injury! When I was a youngin' and a bmx fanatic I had a neck snap when I landed on the otherside of a triple. I ate dirt and knocked myself clean out!
|
I didn't wipe out, I did a few miles before that though (I HATE UNDERSTEER) I was just pulling a wheelie when BAM, it broke, luckily, I have lightning fast reflexes and recovered fast enough to prevent a crash
|
It hurts just looking at that!
Glad to hear that you made it through that without injury :) . East Hill |
Oh ya.........Need a new neck? I have a wald one that is virtually new (and free to you) that I will never use. PM me if so.
|
I'll be looking for several since this was my sisters and now I have to buy her one for her Free Spirit
|
do note that that stem (gooseneck) is not a Schwinn part, Schwinn's were cast.
Boy I like my Schwinn bike, Schwinn is the finest bike. |

The one you broke is hollow, made from bent sheetmetal. Usually, a stem failure like you have pictured, results in a fatal event. Glad that you survived this one! :D |
thats painful just looking at it
|
i think you need a smidge of jb weld there.

He means that the original Schwinn stem was a solid steel unit. (ie; cast steel)
