Billato built Marin?

How can I tell if my Marin is a Billato built frame? I’ve heard mixed opinions, thanks.

Nothing to help with identification since my limited knowledge is in the steel era, but that is a nice looking Marin!

I had a '98 Marin Vicenza, came with Campa Veloce9 triple. Definitely Billato build assembled w quill stem, curved fork. I heard they were painted in USA - but no proof. I thought the Brain MegaTube yielded an overly harsh ride, but tires were 22/23mm. My first experience with Ergo and I greatly preferred it over competing integrated levers.

oh yeah, I chipped in on the thread referenced above.

Marin sold some very nice bikes up to ~2000 then started selling generic bikes that look like leftovers (or just odd).
Anybody know what happened?

2000 Billato built Argenta
