Shimano 105 crankarm
Anyone have a 90's era left-side crankarm they're not using? The 105 that's in that gunmetal finish. I had to saw mine off the spindle because of stripped threads.

That sucks. Next time that happens use a small 3 or 4 pronged puller like they use for pulling pulleys or steering wheels off of cars. What really sucks is just last night I sold 2 cranks like your describing. One in a 165mm length and one in a 170mm length.

Use an automotive tie-rod separator - they never fail to remove a stubborn crank arm.

I have never gotten one off by hammering. Auto wheel pullers are awkward because they do not have great places to hang onto, but they do work.

Yeah - went over to my buddies house because he said he had a crank puller but he didn't have one that was a proper fit I guess so out came the hacksaw. So one just-missed-em, and three shouldas. Ouch. Hammering didn't work; that came before the hacksaw. Lucky I don't need the crankset at the moment so I'll just patiently check the LBS if no one comes to the rescue in the next couple of days.
