Dammit!
I've had an old Apollo bike that was wrecked up sitting in the garage for quite sometime with a full Shimano 600 group sans headset and RD.
I was planning on using the cranks for a fixie build, I tried to take them off yesterday and it turns out they were both stripped. No problem, I took my jaw pulled and used that to pop them off. It took a bit but they came off. Well, not only were they stripped, they are bent to all hell and back making them unusable. I was pretty exited for using these cranks, I really liked the way they looked and the fact that they were pretty old made me happy. Now it looks like I'll be using my junkers until I can find something else. I would Ebay a pair but the only ones on there are NOS and $100. http://cgi.ebay.com/NOS-Shimano-600-...QQcmdZViewItem Damn. |
I know someone will come along and tell you how to fix this. Perhaps someone's got a set cluttering up their garage...
In the meantime, bummer. East Hill |
