Did Waterford produce a Shimano 600 equipped bike with STI? There is one for sale on craigslist right now for the price of 450$. I am not sure if it is a great deal or not. I can't seem to find too much info about the group. It might be a series 7...Is this worth hassling over? It would be an hour drive each way. The color is bluish purple.

The Series bikes did come with Ultegra on the Series 7.

It could be an actual Waterford Paramount ... ask for the serial number.

The Series serial numbers would be 2Gxxxxx or G2xxxxx or a format like that.

What condition is it in?
I recently sold one of those exactly the way you described , on Ebay. It was about 3 months ago...it had all Shimano 600 components and 650c wheels....I believe it was a 56 tooth big chainring! Mine sold for about $550 iirc.....and it wasn't in the best of condition....it had led a hard life before I ever received it.....I may have only ridden it around the block to test the tiny wheels.....anyway, it was a 62cm frame but it was wayyyy too small for me.

A 62cm with 650 wheels.... :eek: (needs one of those scratching head smilies)

Tri bike. 650c wheels supposedly go faster, or look more aerodynamic or some such hype.

Ask Product Manager and Cat II racer Dennis Lane why you should consider switching to 26” wheels and he’ll tell you the real question is why anyone still rides 700C in the first place.

yep, not a 650C tri/tt bike to be found on the market today.......
