hey, i picked up a new brooks professional saddle off craigslist today that is gray in color. i paid 80 smackers for it, and it looks 100% authentic, but i can't find anything about a gray brooks anywhere. original owner said it came off a touring bike that she bought new 3 years ago. i neglected to ask what brand. has anyone heard of or have any info about one that they could share? thanks!

"Purgatory Central"
Yeah thats pretty cool. Seems like I seen a picture of a multitude of different colored Brooks 'Pros' three or four years ago on the Wallbike web-site. Probably was'nt a good seller, so they pulled that color option.
I'd say you got something rather unique there.

Got an old Peugeot
To me it looks as a green saddle that its color faded. I say it because at the bottom it looks green.
What do you think?

That saddle came off of a 2004 Cannondale T-2000, I know because I have the same one. The grey will wear off and give you an almost black saddle, still looks good. Great price!

Actually I was at Wallingford the other day, talking about this kind of thing. I was asking Bill about a strange saddle I bought off of eBay a few years ago, a green b17 with steel rivets instead of copper.
He said that Brooks sometimes makes runs of saddles outside their normal range for other manufacturers. This gray is really beautiful (wouldn't mind having one myself).

thanks for the info. i was able to track down a picture of a 2004 Cannondale T-2000, which appears to have a gray brooks professional!

before I retired, one of my co-workers who does randonneuring purchased a grey B17 Champion Special for his rando bike. It really looked great, had Titanium rails & was a special order.
