give us some help here,
what kind of bike? (brand)
more pictures would help too (for age of components)
it's a bit difficult to go on serial number alone.

We are going to need more pictures.

Cottered crank, probably '60's or 70's. Hard to say.

That is a Kawamura serial number format. They made American Eagle, Azuki and Nishiki brand bicycles for West Coast Cycle Supply. It is circa 1973/1974, so it's too late to be an American Eagle. Nishiki was the most popular of the brands and the steel cottered cranks indicate an entry level model, so it is probably a Nishiki Sports or Nishiki Olympic.

That's what I love to see - a good educated guess without all the incessant whining about "more pictures".

I believe T-Mar because he is so knowledeable. I was going to guess that it was a Mint green Fuji Sports-10 from around 1978.

I was going to mention that it looked a lot like the serial numbers I just posted on the Nishiki Sport thread. But now I feel bad.

Whining about pictures? We're supposed to guess the year, model, and brand from a picture of the BB now? Plus we all like to see the whole frame, and details. You seem to be the only one whining, lol.,,,,BD

And yes, I would also like to see the whole frame.

Well, he did show us the best pic possible. It's the one that tells me the age and manufacturer and permits narrowing down the model. It tells far more than an overall pic ever would, unless the decals and/or headbadge were still present.

However, I agree that that some pics would be appreciated, if for no other reason thant to keep East Hill happy. I count on her gracious hospitality far too often to risk having a grumpy Lanky Lass on my hands.
