Missing Brake Piece

I was putting a Schwinn World back together after experimenting with it a few months ago, and I discovered a problem. There must have been some kind of cable stop at the top of the brake levers, but I certainly don't have them anymore. Being my first bike tinkering project, I probably threw them away by accident. I really had no idea what I was doing at the time.

The picture below should make my problem a little more clear (it's huge, sorry). Does anybody know what piece I need, and where I could get a couple of them? Thanks!

That doesn't show as a picture on my browser. Try again. There's a real good chance someone here has what you're looking for.

Yeah, there's a piece that fits in the top of the lever. Send me an email with your address, I have 2 I can send you, or should have at an older bike shop. Weinmann?

you should be able to get some that would work with a cheap brake cable from just about any store such as your LBS meijer, walmart..etc... If not, you can pull one off of a junk bike. The LBS might be able to sell you just that piece, but it's nice to have a spare cable around just in case.

I'm pretty sure the brakes are "chang star" or something like that.

The cheap cables I buy at *Mart always have that piece (ferrule?)

It will be a mushroom shaped piece.

Here's what you need - Brake Casing Ferrule

$1.15 each, or free if you take dbkal up on his offer. As Little Darwin points out, most cheapo ~$4.00 Bell cable kits sold at Walmart come with them.
