Fitti Cycles?

I came across a really interesting old cruiser today and was wondering if anyone here could give me the story behind the name. The bike's branded "Fitti," with an ancient looking three speed rear wheel, a Campy shifter and a Gian Robert Competition rear derailleur. Beyond that, it's got cranks with a "P" on them, beautiful lug work, a modern Magna saddle (shame!) and the word "Competicion" on the (sloping) top-tube. That's about all I can give you.
What's the deal? I can't find any information about it online.
Any insight would be awesome. Thanks.

Don't suppose there are photos to go along with the story?

While out at lunch or running errands at work, I keep seeing an old guy on a Fitti, looks like a repurposed pro bike for the one I have seen, never been able to catch the guy to inquire.

My guess, Italian. beyond that, they exist.

Fair enough.

If I can get pictures in the next few days, I'll stick them up here.
