Hurrah!

I could hear a collective sigh of relief spread out all over the world :D .

Stronglight, that's a great idea you had for saving the box with the postage stamps!

Pastor Bob, I am thinking good thoughts for the mixte here.

Stunning!
I love the color. I was going to get my boys International powder coated a robin's egg blue but this color is a bit deeper.
What color of saddle and bar tape would you be using?

I think as VJP suggested... black cinelli unicanitor white tape and brake cables. stainless uncoated shift cable housing.

Yes, that would look very classy. I never thought of stainless, but that would look great with the blue.
Build it soon!

The temptation to begin building immediately is overwhelming but I must resist until all parts are ready to be assembled and that will take a few weeks. I'll allow myself to work on the parts in the mean time. Wheel polishing and then building. Polish brake lever blades, figure out what to do about the cranks etc etc... once everything has been polished it must be accented with white paint and when all the parts are absolutely done then I can put it together over one cathartic afternoon of bliss.

Surely you are joking, the painting process has taken How Long? And the parts are not ready?!?!!!

I couldn't see the pictures from work, and just got online. That is going to be one gorgeous build.

To think, when I rescued the bike, I was only really counting on a couple of Campagnolo components to trade for donations to my Livestrong ride.

And each time you ride it, you may get an opportunity to tell someone about the history of the bike.
