First real ride impressions :)

I like it. Took the Volare out for about a 5 mile shakedown ride a while ago. Shifts are crisp and positive the ride although pretty stiff is not twitchy but will take a few more miles for me to get used to it. I really like the tire and rim combination they just seem so stable I like those Paselas more everytime I ride them. I had to stop and adjust the saddle a bit I had to nose it up and bring it forward a tad. It seems like the chrome is really growing on my even though its scratched up and the oddball red fork doesn't seem so oddball after riding the bike I guess might be cause its rides so nice and will be even better after I get used to it. I'm just gonna ride it for now and worry about the color later on. You all are welcome to chime in with your opinions. Here are a few pictures.

Your Volare's looking pretty blingy there! I am surprised you could get out and ride--up here there is still black ice on the street, and it's pretty iffy out there !

I like the chrome with the red fork. What are you going to do about bar tape?

The bike looks sharp.
Probably because the chrome is neutral and red matches a 'silver' tone well. It's different, but I like it. To tie it all together, the black painted flutes of the seatpost could be red, the cable housing red, and too bad AME hoods aren't available...a set in red for the levers would finish off the front. A touch of red from a set of anodized pulleys (ie. Bullseye) would complete the bike, IMO.

When son #1 bent the fork on his silver Specialized HardRock, I found a bright orange replacement at the local bike shop. Your color scheme reminds me of his.
