springer forks

Hi has anyone here had any experience with installing springer front forks on the newer schwinns made in china? I have a alloy frame point beach cruiser and would like to install a springer the least painful way I can find. I have done some research and there are quite a few different springers out there with different lengths and whatnot. Has anybody messed with this stuff or know where to find the info I need? thanks generator

I don't know if this will get answered here or not, but I'll bump it just in case anyone has an answer for you :) .

The ones I've seen still use a typical headset, threaded steering tube arrangement. You need to match the diameter and length of your current steering tube.
