Loss of a true giant. Sheldon Brown RIP

Other subforums are spreading the rumor that Mr. Brown died last night. No confirmation as yet, but...

I am just sick.

Nothing on SheldonBrown.com nor the CR list. If it is true then it is certainly a dark start to 2008 for the cycling community.

Yeah, it's unfortunately true. RIP, Mr. Brown. You've done more than anyone could imagine for the cycling world.

I am absolutely stunned. According to what I read on CR list Sheldon died
of a massive heart attack last night.

I wish you Godspeed Sheldon,
and condolences to his family.

Noooooo, I am so sorry to hear that. Sheldon made such a huge contribution to the world of cycling. I can't imagine if anyone will ever be able to fill those shoes. Sheldons site was one of the first I ever came across and I visit it all the time and learn something new every time I go. I really hope someone steps up to the plate and preserves his legacy both online and on the home front. I really feel for his family and friends and wish I would have met him personaly. I am sure he was a great guy..........I hope the ol' interweb will do the man justice and keep his thoughts alive for us all to read, enjoy and learn from.

Sheldon.......we'll miss you man!

A very painful loss for the cycling community. And very unfortunate to lose a cyclist to a massive heart attack since cyclists theoretically should have very strong hearts.

His memory and contributions to our community are a legacy.
