Show yer Schwagg! ;-)
Along with the Brooks DVD, there was much to be "had" at NAHBS!
One the rituals of conventions/shows.....the SCHWAGG!
All those freebies/deals on cool STUFF!
The raffles & freethrows, the stacks of tool box stickers, the purple anodized CNCed bottle opener that clamps to your seatpost (OK, that WASN'T free, but it was worth "the price of admission")
So here's my most prized item....(unlike Barth Karl, who EARNED his by actually being ON staff, I just bribed the girl at the desk on my way out on Sunday)
Aw'ight...whud YOO git?

Should I take a picture of the free paint job I won, or the signed-by-everyone coffeetable book Cycling's Golden Age I won by dumb luck at le Cirque last year.

got 3 t-shirts and a way coo-el Ahearne (local builder) flask with frame mount...incidentally Ahearne seemed to be the only booth with a "Sheldon Shrine?" Unless I missed some....kinda surprising. I guess I expected more obvious recognition.

There was a mention at the awards presentation. The shrine was special.

Picked up a can of Weigle Frame Saver for $10 ($3 off MSRP) but also got the step by step tutorial on its proper application from Mr. Weigle himself, including the invaluable advice to never use it over indoor carpet which you want to keep.
