Cable stops for 84 Trek

I'm just wondering what I need as far as cable stops are concerned in order to use campy 10 speed shifters on my 84 trek 760. The trek has suntour downtube shifters.

Thanks!

You will need cable stops, like you already know.
Campy stops
Shimano stops

I'm just wondering if I have to use shimano or campy or if I could use either regardless of what I'm running.

you can use either. I had shimaNo on my campy 8 speed setup coz I kind
of liked the look.
Other than causing all sorts of cosmic convolutions ( shimaNo with Campy) they
worked just fine. The only reason I changed was campy gives you more adjustment
room.

I don't think you could get away using Campagnolo stops and Shimano cabling though. I believe the Campagnolo cabling is a little bit narrower.

If I can get work and life to give me a little break, I'll be able to get the bars on mine wrapped up and show everyone how it's done.

I was using campy cable so maybe thats why it worked?

That's if I'm properly recalling what Greg at the LBS told me.

Would something like this work or do I need campy specific ones?

Those should work. I used generic Shimano ones (as pictured, below) on all 3 of my Campy 10 speed builds, and they worked ok for me.
