Cable stops for 84 Trek
I'm just wondering what I need as far as cable stops are concerned in order to use campy 10 speed shifters on my 84 trek 760. The trek has suntour downtube shifters.
Thanks! |

I'm just wondering if I have to use shimano or campy or if I could use either regardless of what I'm running.
|
you can use either. I had shimaNo on my campy 8 speed setup coz I kind
of liked the look. Other than causing all sorts of cosmic convolutions ( shimaNo with Campy) they worked just fine. The only reason I changed was campy gives you more adjustment room. Marty |
I don't think you could get away using Campagnolo stops and Shimano cabling though. I believe the Campagnolo cabling is a little bit narrower.
If I can get work and life to give me a little break, I'll be able to get the bars on mine wrapped up and show everyone how it's done. |
I was using campy cable so maybe thats why it worked?

Would something like this work or do I need campy specific ones?
