Double post? Mid-80's Raleigh
Hi all, I had originally posted in the commuter section, but that was before I knew there was a vintage one..lol. Anyhow, I have an old TI Raleigh (nothing special as far as I know) that I found in my garage. I'm thinking of stripping it down and repainting it and putting everything back on...some original some new parts.
What are your suggestions as vintage enthusiasts? Is it worth it ...time and money? Where do I get new decals? What are your thoughts on this bike.. http://mississauga-cyclist.blogspot.com/ |
It's worth time, but not money, in my opinion.

Where can one acquire decals for it?

I don't know whether exact replacements would be available -- can't see enough detail in your photos. There's an eBay seller named Cyclomondo (Greg Softley in Oz)
http://stores.ebay.com/Cyclomondo_W0...Q3amesstQQtZkm who offers a lot of Raleigh decals. My favorite is the script logotype from MnHPVA Guy's (1957?) RRA. Greg has made it in the original white/Silver, and at my suggestion, black/silver. |
