Dave,

Nice ride, is that the Aluminium glued and screwed model or is that
a fully steel frame? (columbus SP tubing? I don't recall).
So what are you going to dress the frame in? I believe it should
be Campy SR or maybe NR with tubulars. . . well thats what I would
do, and use panto'd parts if I could find em.
Let us know how the project is going, and keep posting pics.

It's the aluminum 'glued and screwed'. I found this frame and a same year (89)NOS Guerciotti steel frame hanging in the rafters of my LBS. He made me an offer that I couldn't refuse, so I took 'em both. I just finished building the steel Guerciotti 'cause it's my size (60cm) The Alan is a 58cm, so it will be a while (if at all) before I get around to it.

The Alan is really beautiful! The lugs are polished and the frame tubes appear to be anodized. I know little to nothing about Alan, except what little there is on ClassicRendezvous.com.

I have one myself which I use regularly but my frame is a bit different than yours - grey colour and maybe older (its a 60 x 59). I do not have on the frame itself the fittings for the brake cable or deralleur cable nor for the derailler shifters - the fixations had to be added (screwed on the frame).
The bottom of the back lungs are also different.
Very very light but quite stiff on some roads !
I really love it and it is filled with full Shimano 600 set (not campy) and 100 % original.

Campagnolo Nuovo or Super Record is the only way to go. Cinelli bars without cable guides too. Classic Italian on a great Italian frame. These frames were top Cyclocross equipment for 20 odd years so the must be strong.
