Thought it deserved its own thread...

Check out the seat tube on the one below...

I found this DeRosa appealing. Deltas and early C-Record if I am not mistaken.

There are some serious contenders for the "best Easter bike" in that shop.

You know, it's probably just as well that all those bikes were too big for me.

What was the deal with the splatter paint job? Those are bizarre.

Are they prettier in person than they look in the photos?

+1. I love the spatter paint jobs on that Nobilette and Land Shark. That blue Pogliaghi also really makes me salivate.

Thanks for the image, I got to drive by the place but was not able to stop.

I have seen a private collection room that has more though, which is a bit mind bending.

I think a lot of his stuff is consignment. When the shop opened it was pretty sparsely stocked. I haven't been in there for about a year or so.

I get a email about the monthly Friday night group ride, but it too sounds like they are mostly the fixie crowd and not us regular C and V folks, so I haven't done it. Maybe some time.

No. Maybe it was some of the "brown acid"

Did not ask. Could not afford to be tempted.

I did not photograph the numerous track frames they had available. Among them was a 3Rensho and a Nagasawa.

That Rossin is interesting too. I completely missed how its down tube connects above the BB. Unusual.

I've been puzzling over this since last night. Does anyone know what the reasoning behind this was? The only thing that jumps to mind is that you could have a very steep head tube angle/low rake fork and use a full size front wheel without it hitting the down tube.

I don't know, but that odd point of connection between the down tube and seat tube reminds me just the tiniest bit of a Paris Galibier, which I think has a very cool look to it.

I wondered about that too. Seems that you'd have to use some stout stuff to keep the bottom bracket from flexing like crazy.

I want that Rigi.

I have been able to ride a Rigi for an extended period, Fun to dart around with, but it would get tiresome after a while. The super short rear triangle does skip around a bit when you are out of the saddle, the twin tube seat tube does behave stiffer than one might think. And the bike does climb well, perhaps due to the rear weight bias. As a vintage ride rig or espresso getter? Very cool.

I'm afraid that this is not a case of wanting to ride it. I just simply lust after it. And it is a trackie, too. Inexplicable.

Would rock to do the noon group ride on it, though.

If we ever get over this freakin' spring, that is.

My feelings, as well. I don't do fixed gear, single-speed freewheel, or splatter paint.
