Here's my '88 Centurion Carbon Ironman. Rides great and im enjoyong the ride, however not particularly lighter than my other Ironman. It's all good, with 30 year old carbon I think it qualifies as Vintage.

Do not use thinner..

Better off with some stripper, maybe....

There is a thread somewhere here with Quo Vuang stripping a Carbon-R and doing a full re-clear. Worked out well and he sold it to me.

I still have a set of replacement decals.

Would a little paint thiner damage the safety of the frame.???

Help.
Paint thinner(not STIRPPER) will be ok for short term contact. I'd avoid using paint stripper as there would be a chance of softening up the epoxy.

Acetone can also remove spray without damaging clearcoat- but sort of depends on the spray and how thick it is. thin coats just slide right off. if they did several coats then .. not so easy.

Welcome to the forum. I've not heard of a C4 Air One. You may be able to email the pics to someone to post for you. I'll send you a PM, but once you get to 10 posts, I think you can post pics.

Well, this is 20 years old, and jamesdak built one, too. Not yet vintage, never will be a classic, I suppose.

This one now mine but too large for me to really enjoy. Though I've loaned it a few times and remains in the fleet. Original owner wanted the simplistic dual control to match the group, so the reason I installed these levers. Turns out he never really used it and decided on another bike.

Not yet sure what to do with it but right now welcomes taller riders.

The shifters kind of match the frame, eh? The last time I broke into your garage, I realized it was too big for me, so I left it. I dig the elegance of it.

Old guys (and gals) with carbon fiber in their diet. Kids know nothing these days.

Terrific write up too, Peter.

Those Trek foil bikes will someday be desirable. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, however those things may be desirable some day, but will always be fugly.

Picked this up over the weekend. Too small for me, but very smooth.
Bought from the original owner; he's cleaning his stuff out of his parent's house.

I'll take it to the Central Indiana Bike Assoc. swap meet and see if someone wants it.

I was aware of the Bianchi C4 project. These were wonderfull looking Time trial bikes from 1987.
Aparently C4 is a company in it's own right. The Air One Came out in 1993.
I'll soon be able to post some pictures, but I allready uploaden some to the gallery. Maybe you can find them there.
