Talk me out of it, or not

So the orange Super Sport is queueing up to be next. Or maybe not.
The front wheel isn't original, the rear wheel is nearly to the point of needing relaced.

I have some maroon Bluemels fenders and a SA AW laced to a 27" rim... I think I'm going to convert it to a 3 speed unless someone talks me out of it. I'm also thinking albatross bars.

Any comments?

Well, I certainly can't talk you out of it as I'm almost done converting my '70 Super Sport to have a 700c rims and a Bendix two-speed kickback coaster-brake hub, upright Lux bars, alloy crankset. And I had it powdercoated candy blue. I have the weight down to 29 lbs.

Go for it! I have an SS frame that will either be a three-speed or a single-speed coaster. It's pretty far down in the queue though. I'm thinking black with white decals ... (I like black Schwinns). The only issue is what to do with the dang braze-on cable stops. I know, I know ... leave them alone.

As someone who is having way too much fun converting a Super Sport into the bike I want to ride--- I say go for it as well! Enjoy yourself.
