Shimano 600 AX replacement lever hoods - where to buy?

I have Shimano 600 AX brake levers and the hoods are worthless. Is there a store I'm missing on out there on the web that has these still? Is there similar style hood that fits "well enough"? Does anyone run aero brakes without hoods?
