I am very sorry to hear the tragic news. I know how you feel, last year I lost my most beloved bike in a freak accident. It was my very first adult road bike, my Cannondale. It still waters up my eyes just thinking about. We had been to many places together and now I'll never ride it again.

Man! It just breaks my heart! Sorry again for your loss.

Arson...I hope there's jail time in someone's future...

If I even found a spoke of one I'd be sending it to BC ASAP.

I feel sorry for him, but there are some lessons to be learn here for all of us ..

* Document our bikes with pictures with serial numbers - for loss from theft and fire.

* The bike may or may not be covered by the shops insurance - or under insured , although the concept of Abalement applies that doesn't mean the the shop may not be judement proof for compensating a loss.

* I won't they say there aren't some less than honest home owners policies, but there are State laws against what most of some of you are indicating. So filing a claim won't hurt you - but most deductibles are $1000 to $1,500.

Like all of you I love my bikes - my wife says to much, but I need to keep it in prospective that they are bikes and with likes all of his friends in the forums we can find him new rides to help him potentially dim the thought of his loss. I didn't say forget them just moderate the pain of his loss.

Sorry to hear about the fire and your bikes :( but I am also very happy that no one was hurt in the blaze :) Thank goodness for that ;) :)

This really sucks to hear about. Hopefully the insurance company will "try" to make it right. I am also glad no one was hurt in the fire or putting it out. Hopefully, the person who did this is punished, and the effected shops are able to rebuild and open up again in the future.

a bike store next to a liquor store -- be glad i don't live there or you'd have to put a no loitering sign up. at least they saved the jenny craig.....(im rolling my eyes so hard it hurts).

Its kind of an opportunity (im trying to be optimistic) to make an art piece out of the charred remnants. you should pull what you can
