Would this ding hurt the frame

Hello All
Saw a Nishiki international, on e-bay today, It looks like a nice bike, seller says it weights 24 pounds.Has 600 group, with dura ace downtube shifters. But there a small ding in the top tube, see picture below. In your option, would the ding hurt the frame. And should I just pass on it. |
looks ridable, it certainly hurts the value though.

As AEO says, should keep the price down. If/when you repaint it, you can fill that in. Generally speaking, a dent like that in a steel frame is superficial.

24 pounds it pretty good for an international, must be a double butted late model one that moved away from the touring back to more of a sport bike.

I just went and looked at it. It's an interesting model. I would guess around 1980ish... maybe a bit older due to the headbadge. It seems odd that is has a chromed fork tips as all the older one I have seen have been did not have this. My friend has an '82ish international and they weigh a ton. Again I am suprised it only weighs 24lbs, but I guess a light component group like 600 may be able to account for that.
