Peugeot PSV10, PX10- geometry.
Other than the types of steel tubing used, what are the key differences between a psv 10 and px 10? Is there much difference in geometry between the two? I have noticed that my psv doesn't have eyelets on the dropouts for fenders, etc and from photos i've seen, the px has them.

Louis, there is no difference in the geometres of the same era PX's and PSV's. Peugeot didnt always publish geometries but when they did all of the high end bikes were grouped together. In general Peugeots geometries were grouped as such:
High end lugged Reynolds 531, Super Vitus, Reynolds 501
high end lugless Reynolds 501, HLE
Low end HLE, Carbolite
How much of a difference was there between the 3? First column is high end lugged, second is high end lugless and the third is low end lugless
Specs for 60cm frames.....as side note not all sizes were available in all 3 groups. For instance 57cm frames were not available lugged, but 56 and 58cm were. 54's and 62's were only availble on the PZ (531) but not in the Super Vitus or 501 lugged.
Head angle 73-30 73-30 73
Seat angle 73-30 73-30 72-30
Top tube 580 579 602
Chainstays 420 429 453
As far as the eylets go...it probably has to do with the type of dropouts used and when the frame was built. My later literature shows both the Super Vitus and 531 frames without eyelets while the 501 frame has them. All 3 have identical geometries and are lugged. You may be looking at older PX's as the first year of the Super Vitus frames, 1982, has no eyelets as well as the corresponding PX not having eyelets.

At least through the late 1960s and early 1970s the low-end (AO-8/UO-8/UE-8/etc.) 54cm C-T Peugeot frames had 72-degree head tube, as well as seat tube, angles.
