Campagnolo hub/axle interchangeability?

I've notice when searching on eBay I see a lot of "Campagnolo axles" but it's not always clear what hub the axle fits. Or does it matter? Can anybody provide some interchangeability guidelines for hubs, axles, cones? Also, what size axle do I need to fit 126mm spacing? I'm guessing 134mm? Thanks.

I have switched axles between Nuovo Record and Tipo (or Gran Sport) hubs with no issues at all.

I measured some in my junk box at 127 and 134. Too bad they have slight bends in them.

For rear hubs, you can get away with a lot, but there are differences in bearing surface finish. Front axles are the same in threading among all fronts, but the cones should be best kept of the same model family.

for a six block spacing 134 or 132 even.

Cool, 'cause a lot of them say the are for Nuovo Record but I have Tipo hubs. I think I need a 134mm axle to go to a 7 speed freewheel, 126mm spacing.
