My beater on the back porch. Two kids bikes in the horrible back shed. My favorite seven plus whatever project is underway in my garage around the corner. All my flip bikes and long-term projects in the basement.

Note the spelling! Cut that out :p . East Hill |
3 in the living room ( favorites in current rotation ) ,
3 in my office ( spares,& projects ) , 3 in my wife's office ( her babies ), & 2 in the garage ( the beaters ) http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s...cinelli006.jpg http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s...bikes003-2.jpg |
My bikes are into bondage. They used to sleep in one of our bedrooms. Later I felt them more secure if they were chained to a drain pipe.

What a great thing
You just made me smile out loud :) Do you mind if I steal your idea? I need to become more mechanically inclined first - but this is something I could defintiely do during my summers off.
Some women have knitting cirlcles, men have poker night...but at Lisa's, we drink beer and build bikes! :D |
My main rides are in my living room :o The pink Panasonic is my wifes bike, the other two are my main riders, I have more in the basement of my house and my dads house too :D

The Super Courses are in the den/spare bedroom, along with the 520, the Trek 330 is in my bedroom on the trainer. Everybody else hangs by their rear wheel from hooks in the basement. There are a few beaters in the garage. And the MTB's 3-speeds, and the balooner are in the breezeway.

ok, now ya'll are going to make me go take a picture of my rack too aren't you. So fine. :p *yawns*... actually, that may have to wait till morning.

Until wednesday evening the bikes (most of them) are in the house (small 2/2 condo). On wed the SO and kids come back and all the bikes go back to the patio, the parking garage or to the storage locker. I consider them good company in a house that is, right now, otherwise quiet and lonely.
At any rate, I can get to the coffee maker and the toaster in the morning so no problem! There is also a '95 carbon fiber Trek in the bedroom. I know, no shame... |
As promised:
http://jonpfischer.com/thecuda/photo...n_IMG_0898.jpg Top to bottom / Front to back: 1) Barracuda Mk.I frameset, stripped the parts off it this weekend to sell or trade the frameset. 2) 06 Fuji Team Issue WCS with Campagnolo Centaur 3) 86 Serotta Nova, Campagnolo Record / Chorus mix with Cinelli up front. 4) ca 83 Gazelle Champion Mondial with Super Record. Wheels behind the rack include a Mavic GP4 / Record tubular set with Regina 12-23 7speed cluster soon to have new tubulars glude, and a Mavic Open SUP front wheel. Just out of frame to the right is my 27" wheelset that came off the Barracuda Mk.I. Bars and stem are somewhere in the "bike work" bathroom where I do all my messy wrenching. The rest of the parts have been cleaned and boxed. |
Ours all hang in the garage above my wife's car. I keep the daily riders toward the front where I can get them down without moving the car.

Basement furnace room -
Three road bikes hanging from their front wheels around furnace. One road bike on floor next to furnace. Two MTB on third side of furnace and next to freezer. One road bike on bike stand mid room. Kid's MTB hanging from joist in garage Two kids' road bikes leaning against side wall of garage If I pick up too many junkers for stripping / flipping they go between house and barberry bushes. |
I think I have posted a picture before. I currently have four bikes and one framset/project (Capo #2) hanging upside-down from the garage rafters on [i]bicycle storage hooks[/b]. We have no basement, a tiny attic, a very small garden shed, no spare room, and a two-car garage which has to host two cars (son #1's 1969 Camaro and son #2's 2000 Audi S4), so this is by far my best option.

Lined up in the basement shop, or in the garage, or on the front porch.
I live out in the middle of nowhere, so I guess I'm saying they sleep wherever I dismount them. |
In the bike room (formerly my "living room").
Of course, Ms. Blue Order doesn't really know the extent to which the room formerly known as "living" has been transformed into the bike room... And she's moving here in 3 weeks! |
Mine sleep in the shed:
http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...4/DSC00125.jpg But if their very good they can sleep inside (the Alan is trying to be good): http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x...4/DSC00487.jpg PS Nice rack cuda 2k! |

The owner of our rental home framed a small room in the garage for her kid to play his video games, there's even a wall heater:
I filled it with my bikes for now(there are 2 more that don't show in this pic). Hopefully in about 6 months I can move everything into the workshop space in our new home. Don |

Oh boy! Did you ever find a bike for her? Uh...photos? In case I missed them :o .
East Hill Only problem is, I paid for the Bianchi 3 weeks ago (an eBay auction, paid through paypal). and I haven't heard a peep from the seller since then. No bike, no tracking number, no response to several emails... I'll get photos up soon. Still trying to decide how many bikes will be in the room formerly known as "living," and what to do with the bikes that can't fit. You can only squeeze so many into a one bedroom apartment, and now I'm making sure Ms. Blue Order also has bikes to ride, PLUS she's showing up in 3 weeks, so I have to make order out of chaos... the age-old story. |
East Hill, my wife swears you'll have curtains in your bike cave.
I told her my Pirelli calendar was "accessorizing," but she made me take it down, anyway. |
I need to take pics, 'cause they can say it better than I can, but I'll try.
As one enters our loft, the Catamount is hanging horizontally above the door height to the right, and the Colnago is hanging horizontally above the door height to the left. Directly opposite the door is the Merckx, hanging vertically by the front wheel. Above the Merckx is the Vitus, hanging horizontally. The SS MTB is leaning against the window, behind the couch, next to the fish tank. The wife's Biomega is leaning against the window between a shelf unit of nick-nacks and the shelf unit of (14) tarantulas. Currently, however, the Colnago is on a small stand in front of the bookshelves, since I finally finished the de-conversion and rode it last Thursday. In place of it on the wall is the Yakima trunk rack. I promise I'll get pics soon. About the only thing holding me back from getting more bikes, other than finances, is justifying to the wife where they will get stored. I figure I have two more spaces on the walls that I can mount bike hangers from, that will get bikes off the floor, yet still be somewhat accessible. It's great having 14' ceilings. |
Mine have been banished to the shed :( But once in a while I get to bring one in and work on it. That's why there's one in the front hall at the moment :)
