Centurion Professional
Hey Gang!
I've got what I'm pretty certain is a 1978 Centurion Professional... well, I know it's a Pro, I just am not 100% sure it's a '78, but the hubs it came with were Sanshins dated 78. Aside from just seeking general information about the older Centurions, and trying to see if there are any 70s catalogs lurking out there in someone's stash, I have one specific question... When I bought this bike, it had Sanshin Professional (or ProAm, I don't have them in front of me) hubs, laced to Mavic Module E rims, one of the earliest narrow clincher rims out there. Does that sound like something Centurion would have originally specced, or would it have had something else? Sewups? Arayas? Ukais? And what model? Anyone out there know when the Araya 20A was introduced? Pics of the bike are at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/4382835...7604257636170/ Thanks! Tim |
Gorgeous bike! Perhaps you could add this to our Centurion serial number database thread?
Welcome to BikeForums, too! East Hill |
I like the sloping fork crown. :)

Yeah it's beautiful. Those are awesome rims, even if they are not original I wouldn't sweat it, they are certainly period correct.
