This is a test
of the vintage bike indentification system:
Bike is as I bought it, I will clean and adjust in the next few days.
I know the make of the bike, not sure of the model yet.
Just wanted to see how good you guys are! Will provide hints as necessary...

You Know!? For Kids!
yes, it appears to be a vintage bike. BF will now return to our regular broadcast.

BTW, you need a rear tire.

Didn't Treks of 1980's vintage have "TREK" cast into the seat stay lugs?

No way that is rattle can. It's not a sachs because it would have RS in the fork crown, it could be a high end trek model, it's very very clean... very impressive... Eisentraut? I know nothing about him. I am sure the seat stay caps should give it away to someone who knows their american builders.

Centurion - Cinelli? Probably not with that seat cluster and attachment points for the rear rack though.
It's very nice, whatever it is.

Eisentraut 'A' Frame
Hayden long point lugs, impeccable finish,
Cinelli semi sloping top tube.
I'll stick with that.

we have a winner! serial # M30080 = Aug. 30th, 1980.
It's either the "perfect pleasure" model, or touring.
https://www.classicrendezvous.com/USA...clean_main.htm
Original owner had it repainted, some flaws evident, but overall pretty nice.
Bought it for $600 - deal? or "fair"?

Golly, I've never won anything before.
I'd say deal for sure.

here's a pic of the front decal, there is another like it on the seat tube also. I'm taking it to Dale Brown on sat., to get some "Mclean" decals for the down tube. I searched for mclean/silk hope on this forum, no hits... (until now!)
