Team Miyata Frame Weight?

Does anyone know the weight of an early 1990s team miyata frame. And how it compares to other steel frames of that era?

The finish on my low-end Miyata is excellent.

Although Miyata used splined triple butted tubes they weren't very light. One would think they'd tip the scales evenly with a Colombus SLX or Reynolds 531 but that isnt the case.

Miyatas may be a little heavier but you will not find a tougher more durable frameset On top of the frames being very durable thay have superior paint as well using upto 7 lyaers of primer, paint and clearcoat.

My Team Miyata frame (56 cc) weighs a little over 3 kg with fork and a Chorus headset so it is quite heavy.

Well I'm experiencing the miyata build quality and finish every day with my triple-cross, so no doubts in that department. :)
When I saw an ad for a couple of NOS team miyata frames I got somewhat exited. I had heard they were somewhat on the heavy side. But the frame looks so good!

plodderslusk what kind of fork do you got? Is it CroMo-steel or something more modern?

My frame has the original steel fork. Beware of a somewhat short toptube for the size.
